Aging in America Amid New COVID19 Concerns

According to a recent NPR article, the loss of taste and smell can be an early sign that COVID-19 is affecting a brain area that helps us sense odors. Researchers at UT Health San Antonio are studying patients who have experienced lingering cognitive effects after contracting the Coronavirus in an effort to understand why these issues persist and whether their brains have been changed in ways that elevate the risk of developing Alzheier’’s Disease.
